A perennial marsh plant that generally grows in and around water (very pure fresh water). The crispy leaves are a good seasoning for all sorts of salads, as well as garnishing and with meat dishes. It has a mild spicy taste. Sow thinly in a box with wet soil, cover with plastic or glass and keep moist. Remove the plastic or glass as soon as the plants emerge. Continue watering regularly. Ensure that the roots are always in water. Harvest when approx. 20 cm tall.
